I'm Leavin' on a Jet Plane...

So I will start and end this blog in the good ol' U.S. of A. This week I've been thinking about how much I will miss this country, and how I wanted to put off leaving everyone and everything I'm used to here! ...but then I stopped. What am I talking about?! I'm going to ITALY! Bring it on!!!

Those of you who know me well will know that I'm slightly obsessed with everything Italian... I've wanted to visit Italy so bad and see where the Notaro family came from. I've dreamed of walking on the Ponte Vecchio bridge and eating gelato while waving at cute Italian boys...

But I still have a lot to learn about their land and culture. I'm excited to interact as much as possible with the locals and make many friends!

I will be residing in Florence (Firenze!), home of the Ponte Vecchio ("Old Bridge") and the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore...a big ol' church with a big red dome-shaped roof). If you have no idea where Florence is...look it up. Google Maps. I love it.
